This is primarily a place to talk about tattoos, share designs, show off pictures of things we have or want and also share our experiences of tattoos (good or bad). I will occasionally stray to other topics which might leave you thinking “Where in the name of all that is holy is he going with this?!” but I promise there will be a reason for it.

Peachyallie sent in this. "My tattoo is inspired by the Japanese cover of the book ‘Dance Dance Dance’ by Haruki Murakami. It is one of my favourite books, and Murakami is definitely my favourite author of all time. I find the cover art of that book particularly compelling and it gives me a warm feeling - almost as if the book is part of my memories."

The tattoo was done by Nathan (Instagram @iambratwurst).

The Wheel of Time

This is based on The Wheel of Time books. Submitted by reddit user Corvette01. The wheel itself has seven spokes, one for each age, a new age comes only when one is forgotten but they repeat over and over. The Serpent at the top is another symbol of infinity tied into the books.


Midnite

Thanks to Chris A for this submission. "Midnite was the most important being in my life, a black and white Labrador Retriever. I had him from the age of 8 until he sadly passed 10 years later due to cancer and kidney disease. I didn't get the chance to say goodbye and felt guilty."

A Fish Under Pressure

Jenny A went on a girls holiday. "First ever girls holiday to kavos .. one of the girls was breaking her heart to come home within hours of arriving (we were there for two weeks) she phoned her mum and dad to get her flights home the day after we arrived. I thought I was hilarious."

Sharon sent in her tattoo. The words Dad and Nana inside a heart which also incorporates an infinity symbol. "It means although my Dad and Nana aren't here they will be with me always (hence infinity symbol) until my heart stops beating."

Toni from Scotland submitted her first tattoo.  "I got this done for my mum. The J is her own handwriting. The Dates are the year she was born and the year she died."

Lucy

Lynne sent in a picture of her first and only tattoo. It's taken from a photo of my Mum's cat, Lucy. I 'inherited Lucy when my Mum passed away. She and I used to joke that Lucy was my 'sister'...Mum used to say she was Lucy's Mum, as well as mine! Anyway, I thought Lucy would pine for Mum and not really last long. She was 9 when she came to me, and 19 when she died. That's when I got the tattoo.

"This is my papa tattoo, got it when he died. Domino because he played dominoes, the number 7 on the domino because he played as the number 7 in ice hockey and it's black and white because he supported St Mirren" Cheryl's first tattoo. 

The Tramp Stamp

Ashley from Linwood submitted her tattoo.  "My first tattoo the dreaded “tramp stamp” was 17 slightly drunk in Blackpool and my boyfriend at the time thought it would be a great idea for me to get a tattoo."



Strength in a time of need

Darren had both of these done at the same time. He was going through a difficult time and needed some strength. The two tattoos were done in Kraken in Renfrewshire.
