This is primarily a place to talk about tattoos, share designs, show off pictures of things we have or want and also share our experiences of tattoos (good or bad). I will occasionally stray to other topics which might leave you thinking “Where in the name of all that is holy is he going with this?!” but I promise there will be a reason for it.

This time we’ll get to my best experiences that I’ve had with tattoos. Chameleon Tattoo, Paisley have given me the best 3 tattoos I have... Start the football talk.

Football has been my life since the age of 6, if not younger. Growing up I lived, breathed and dreamed football. We played football all the time. Watched football all the time. Football was life.

Leicester City

The first game I remember going to was Leicester V Ipswich in 1995 which we won 2-0. I’ve had season tickets through the bad years when we were down in League 1 (the 3rd tier). Then after winning that league and eventually working our way out of the Championship (2nd tier) back to the big boy table of the Premier League (1st tier).

In September 2015 (at the beginning of the 2015/2016 season) I went to Chameleon Tattoo to get my Leicester City badge and the lyrics to “our” song ‘When you’re smiling.’ Vicki did a fantastic job, which took around 5 hours. The lyrics were done on my ribs which was a bit tender but mostly just extremely ticklish. The badge… on my chest like a true football hooligan. I was so happy to have it done. That year we went on to pull off the greatest story in sporting history and won the Premier League.

A few years on and we are back to being a pretty average team, still in the Premier League. For my 30th birthday friends had a whip around and I’ve recently been back to Chameleon for my latest Leicester themed tattoo. This, our badge from 1950-1983, reminds me a little of a Game of Thrones house banner. Ferg has done an amazing job (just over 3 hours) and I couldn’t be happier.

Whether you love or hate football. I think Chameleon have done a great job with both badges. The shop is welcoming, professional and clean. They are all friendly with Leon and Paul both happy to come and have a chat. If you’re in Paisley looking for a tattoo I can’t recommend them enough. I’ve actually been back to discuss my next tattoo (you’ll need to come back next time to read about that).

Which of your tattoos are you happiest with? Where (in your town/city) would you recommend to go for a tattoo? Post your comments below and email your pictures to b00292028@gmail.com, the best one will be featured in the next post and all will be entered into the prize giveaway (Winner will be announced 29th October).
Until next time. Tat’ll do.
